What We Believe

People with developmental disabilities have the right to the same opportunities as all citizens. People's own decisions should govern their lives, their work, with whom they socialize, and what supports and services they receive. People deserve every opportunity for independence including the chance to learn how to plan for and arrange their own services.

Family support is critical in the lives of all citizens. Family members understand the desires and needs of people, and they must be encouraged to be advocates in people's lives.
