November 1, 2011 marks the one-year anniversary of The Service Coordination Impact Fund that was launched with a generous challenge grant from the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation. In the first year The SC Impact Fund has provided small monetary grants to 340 individuals and families throughout the state. Often combined with funds from other entities, grants from The SC Impact Fund have been utilized for services such as respite, purchasing adaptive equipment, making home modifications, therapy, preventing eviction or cut off of utilities, and assisting with uncovered or under-covered medical expenses.
Service Coordination, Inc. would like to thank the individuals, businesses, and organizations that have supported The Service Coordination Impact Fund. Your generosity has made a big impact in the lives of so many people. An additional thank you goes to Service Coordination staff and Board members who have supported The Service Coordination Impact Fund and whose work continues to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
